Our clients Communications team is seeking an experienced and talented B2B Thought Leadership Content Strategist. They are looking for a candidate who will play a pivotal role in helping their markets team deliver original, timely, insight-based content solutions that position their experts as thought leaders and strategic partners in the market. The candidate will have an important role in the creation of original content for use across owned, earned and paid channels, and at our clients own-run and third-party events.  
This role requires exceptional content production skills with a strong focus on delivery of video content, from ideation to scripting and delivery. The candidate should have experience creating original, well-researched B2B content that aligns to the editorial strategy and helps further the brand; strong experience in the management and delivery of complex content-led projects; creativity; and the ability to build independent, trusted relationships with a large number of senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Help unearth cutting-edge insights, reframe dialogues on key issues, and build and position content to align with our editorial strategy to drive demand.
  • Work with thought leadership team in the delivery of a robust content strategy supporting key areas of the business.
  • Be a key writer and editor for a wide variety of thought leadership content.
  • Be aware of changing market trends, themes and audience needs. 
  • Ensure content is smart, journalistic, insightful and newsworthy.
  • Develop tactical content plans to support strategic priority areas.
  • Translate editorial briefs and complex information into clear, concise, compelling thought leadership content and associated materials such as blogs, social content, videos, web articles, etc.
  • Work in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. 
  • Work with internal and external partners on content production and content delivery, including designers, market research companies, freelance writers, in-house creative and production teams.
  • Support spokespeople in preparing for delivery of video, audio and in-person events, including the preparation of scripts and speaking points.
  • Work with global and regional teams and colleagues to stay up to date with pipeline of reports and content being developed that are relevant to the local market and strategic priorities.

Education and experience:

  • Qualification in media/communications or similar subjects preferred, but not essential.
  • Five years’ experience in a communications role including digital content production, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Video experience essential, including scripting and storyboarding.
  • Exceptional writing skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills, high levels of resourcefulness.
  • Experience operating in a multi-stakeholder environment; comfortable and confident engaging independently with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse and interrogate data and technical content and translate into compelling narrative.
  • Respectful and collaborative working style.
