We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Manager to join our client’s team and take charge of driving sales and market position in the construction industry. As a global leader in waterproofing and insulation solutions, they are dedicated to providing our clients with top-notch technical service and complete system solutions. 
As the Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing project system specifications with architects, surveyors, main contractors and securing new projects, managing customer accounts, and conducting presentations to architects and main contractors. 
You should have a passion for sales and be an expert in construction technology, with a background in construction sales and proficiency in using CRM systems

About the Role:

  • Drive sales growth and market position by developing project system specifications that meet customer needs and presenting the range of products as optimal solutions to architects, surveyors, contractors, building owners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients by providing technical and product information support, responding to customer inquiries, and proactively seeking out new business opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Manage and develop customer accounts by staying in regular communication, monitoring customer satisfaction, and addressing any concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct CPD presentations to architects and main contractors, visit building sites, and write site surveys to gain a thorough understanding of customer needs and ensure that the product range is being effectively promoted and utilised.
  • Work towards specific sales targets and KPIs, and regularly review progress with management to identify areas for improvement and refinement in sales and customer service strategies.

About You:

  • Relevant background in the construction industry with a strong understanding of basic construction technology and principles.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively while working towards sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills with a team player mentality and ability to work collaboratively to achieve company goals.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and experience with CRM and ERP systems, with a willingness to undertake further training as required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or thermal calculation procedures, and a strong understanding of NBS for high-level specification accuracy, would be beneficial.
