Join Europe’s leading Pet Food manufacturer. Based from Dundalk, our client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their company on a fulltime, permanent basis.
With an ongoing focus on best practice, growth and continuous improvement, this business has invested in its planning and supply chain infrastructure and leadership. Focus will be on supply chain performance, planning and managing third party manufacturers.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with some production experience, end to end supply chain management experience, ERP systems knowledge, hence working with PPX would be easier.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, track and measure supply chain activities.
- Ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage 3rd party suppliers.
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain.
- Manage Forecasts.
- Manage supply chain efficiency, cost and profitability.
- Complete system changes in a timely manner.
- Execute inventory optimisation tasks.
- Managing and communicating any supply shortfalls internally and externally.
- Various reporting and analytical tasks.
- Liaise with our manufactures and Sales Team.
- Dealing with quality issues that may arise.
- Monthly visits to our main outsourced sites in Kilkenny.
Requirements:
- Previous Supply Chain Planning or production planning experience.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Must have proficient MS Excel skills.
- Self-motivated and confident to deal with a wide range of stakeholders/suppliers on a daily basis and build strong business relationships
- High attention to detail in planning and administration tasks
- Innovative and strategic thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills / ability to communicate at all levels
- Drive to achieve deadlines and resilience to work in a fast-paced environment
- Big picture view, allowing you to see the ongoing flow on effects of actions and processes
- Full driving licence
