It involves fostering relationships with existing clients, seizing new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service within a designated territory. 

About the role
As a Sales Developer within the Van Sales team, your responsibilities include promoting, selling, and merchandising products/brands to new and existing customers in a defined territory. Your objectives encompass exceeding sales targets, achieving specified distribution targets, identifying new account opportunities through proactive cold calling, and ensuring accurate display placement. Additionally, you will maintain an up-to-date route plan, adhere to a journey plan, and transmit information/orders daily via handheld to head office for optimal sales performance.

About you

  • You should have 1+ years’ proven sales experience within the FMCG marketplace.
  • A track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities and possess previous in-store Sales and Merchandising experience within an FMCG environment.  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to negotiate are essential along with being self-motivated. 
  • You must possess a full clean driving licence for at least 2 years.
