We’re working with an exciting operation which has ambitious plans for the Irish marketplace. Broadly speaking this firm operates in the Cash Management space and has an enviable and growing blue-chip client base. This newly created position calls for a strong Sales & Marketing leader to enhance existing relationships and grow this company’s market share further. 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, as Sales and Marketing Director you will be a proven leader with the ability to inspire and manage a team of professionals across sales, marketing and customer care and uphold the company's reputation of delivering unparalleled customer service. You will drive improved profitability and brand recognition. The role will also contribute to and implement operational initiatives to strengthen the growth of the area.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding across marketing and sales capabilities, including sales, marketing, brand, strategic marketing, integrated content and digital marketing, in a B2B context.
  • Provide effective leadership to the sales and marketing team, setting KPI’s, reviewing individual and team performance. 
  • Provide support and training within the team, addressing under performance where necessary.
  • Contribute to and implement the sales and marketing strategy for success.
  • Drive growth through gaining customer confidence and trust by demonstrating expertise, insight, empathy, consultative skills and commitment.
  • Ensure the area has effective and efficient utilisation of resources.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures in relation to sales and marketing activities.
  • Provide oversight & leadership of strategic research, competitive intelligence & market positioning to support growth areas.
  • Provide reports on a regular basis to communicate company information including new initiatives, financial performance, goals and objectives, bench marks and best practices. 
  • Improve profitability by increased sales and market share and expense control. 
  • Manage toward a positive cash flow by achieving sales forecast, maintaining payroll costs within budget, controlling operating expenses.
  • Play an active role as part of the Senior Management team and the wider leadership team, working on or leading projects as appropriate.

Experience:

  • 5+ years leading & managing a high-performing sales & marketing teams.
  • Highly organised and adaptable with excellent interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to design and implement new sales operations processes, disciplines, governance policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong business consulting, analysis and reporting skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with the desire to succeed in a fast-paced rapidly growing company.
  • Collaborative background working with various internal teammates to execute business strategy effectively and efficiently.
  • Passion for developing and nurturing talent into a high-performing team.
  • Continual-improvement mindset; oriented toward optimization.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on a frequent basis within Ireland and the UK.

Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
