Regional Sales Representative

Work for Irelands leading distributor of High-Quality gardening brands. Selling across DIY, and Garden specialist retailers. This position will focus on the Connacht and Munster regions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Servicing existing customer accounts while assessing and meeting customer needs.
  • Planning and organizing daily work schedules to maximise time in front of customers whilst also ensuring that sales administration is presented both accurately and timely.
  • Tailor, review and update sales presentations to suit the varied type of sales outlets
  • Identify and implement opportunities for merchandising, Point-Of-Sale material and general improvement & maintenance product displays in retail stores.
  • Establish new accounts by calling and presenting product portfolio to potential new retail outlets.
  • Submit orders to the customer service dept. in a clear and concise manner.
  • Keep management informed by submitting daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, competing ranges, new products, and merchandising activity, etc.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related projects and ad-hoc tasks, as required and deemed necessary by the management team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must have a full driving licence
  • Familiarity with office software and systems
  • Experience in sales, account management, and meeting customer needs.
  • Ability to organise schedules to maximise customer engagement and ensure accurate administration.
  • Skill in tailoring and updating sales presentations for varied retail settings.
  • Experience in merchandising and maintaining product displays.
  • Proven ability to secure new accounts through product presentations.
  • Competence in resolving customer complaints and recommending solutions.
