Proposition Specialist - Financial Services


We are working with a progressive and growing financial services organisation which is seeking an experienced ‘Proposition Specialist’ to help develop, enhance and manage product propositions to their target customers.

Reporting to the Proposition Operations Manager, this role is responsible for developing and managing a robust risk management and governance framework that supports product propositions across Ireland, Germany, and the UK.

The role will involve:

  • Reviewing existing Proposition Development and Management processes to ensure that we have a robust governance structure in place and embed this updated Proposition Governance Framework process across the European Proposition teams
  • Ongoing management, review and improvement of team processes, specifically our product development and management processes ensuring compliance with the required controls
  • Supporting the Head of Proposition (and ultimate Risk Owner) in risk management within function and to advocate and embody good risk practice for others.
  • Using your knowledge and delivery skills to support product change projects and management of our proposition
  • Provide support to the Proposition team in the on-going management of risk and compliance
  • Assist in the delivery of regulatory change activity that meets the investment needs of our customers. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Work as part of cross-functional teams to help maintain, identify and deliver a control environment that will improve our propositions and customer engagement with focus on the minimum control standards as set out in the Product & Proposition & Unit Linked Risk Policy and ensure it is robust and fit for purpose.
  • Single point of contact for incident/risk event reporting, assessment and management. Assist in preparation of risk reporting where necessary, incl. Minimum Control Standard and policy compliance evidence.
  • Documenting the processes by which controls are validated, including:
    • setting out evidence required for control sign-off and ensuring records are appropriately maintained.
    • review of any necessary quality assurance.
    • review of available MI, incidents, breaches and loss events. and
    • management of proposition incidents in accordance our policies minimum control standards - recording, investigating, challenging/recommending solutions to issues raised by the business, developing lessons learned and follow up on actions for correcting and preventing incidents. Ensure that trends are incorporated into proposition processes and reviews.
    • consideration of previous findings from regulatory assessments or Proposition team findings.
  • Act as point of contact for Proposition reviews and audits. Support and manage the completion of Product Reviews on a regular basis.
  • Involvement in department planning to identify, assess and monitor sources of risk.
  • Attend regular risk meetings with Risk Partner & Leadership member/committees
  • Support the development of new propositions and management of existing products to meet changing business objectives in a complex and changing environment.
  • Manage relationships with external companies that impact product propositions
  • Having a good understanding of the regulatory environment and managing change to ensure that we are compliant with any regulatory obligations.

Salary: Excess 70K plus benefits
