- Analyse sales data, customer insights, and market trends to develop effective merchandise plans.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and retail teams to align product ranges with market demand.
- Monitor stock levels and implement effective replenishment strategies.
- Lead product range selections, seasonal promotions, and new product introductions.
- Track product performance and adjust plans to maximise sales and profitability.
- Partner with finance and logistics teams to ensure efficient procurement and inventory flows.
- Generate reports on procurement activity, sales trends, and stock performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procurement best practices.
- Conduct regular store walk-throughs to stay close to product performance and customer feedback.
Experience & Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement, merchandising, or buying within retail, wholesale, or FMCG.
- Strong background in vendor negotiation, merchandising planning, and inventory control.
- Commercially focused with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
