About the role
The National Account Manager will report to the Commercial Manager. This person will be focused on developing relationships with a mix of key customers and on delivering the commercial plans across a portfolio of categories and brands.  He/She will work closely with the Brand & Trade Marketing teams in building and executing customer business plans, including trade activation plans and promotional calendars. They will also work closely with the Business Development team in executing these plans at store level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of Key Account Plans with their assigned customer portfolio.
  • Achievement of Forecast and Budget Revenue targets.
  • Management of Price Promotions and Trade Spend in line with Budgets for Off Trade.
  • Management of all elements of the customer Price File including full delivery of all CPIs.  
  • Delivery of Sales Forecast on time and accurately by sku.
  • Developing and executing Joint Business Plan’s with Key Customers.
  • Achievement of company NPD, Range and Distribution targets.
  • Work in conjunction with Commercial Finance and Trade Marketing. 
  • Manage one or more product categories within their customer portfolio:(Soft Drinks, Snacks & Confectionery, Alcohol, Health & Beauty, Other).
  • Ability to analyse complex data and present solutions that deliver results.
  • Initiative to learn. 
  • Be a leader within the team to support & develop key members to grow and develop.
  • Such other tasks as from time to time are advised by your manager.

About you

  • Extensive sales and customer management experience in a retail or wholesale channel.
  • Degree in a business-related area. (Relevant experience may qualify).
  • High level of commercial awareness. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent relationship building & teamwork skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Planning and organising ability.
  • Resilience & able to work on their own initiative
  • Change management skills.
  • High level of IT proficiency. 
  • Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
