National Account Manager


Our client is seeking an experienced National Account Manager to join a successful, award-winning manufacturer that supply various markets across EU. They have an ambitious company objective and need a dedicated commercial team player to accelerate growth and manage market strategies across various channels.  


  • Identify opportunities to grow the Business.
  • Develop and implement the customer strategic business plan for categories and joint customer business plans.
  • Develop integrated category promotional plans.
  • Lead the business development, sales, customer service and marketing teams to ensure best practice.
  • Manage profit and loss accounts for relevant categories.
  • Make sure customers are compliant with agreed trade terms.
  • Excellent financial management; including volume forecasting, S&OP forecasting.
  • Business planning, sales updates, instore tracking, price claim management.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in a similar role within grocery, retail or foodservice. 
  • Proven success in International management of market channels across various product portfolios.  
  • Experience in creating tenders for new business and negotiating and agreeing contracts.
  • Proven track record of financial management and budgetary control.
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building and teamwork skills.
  • Capacity to develop, maintain and effectively utilise information management and reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated record of success in improving sales performance.
  • Ability to handle a range of tasks with changing priorities.
  • A strong sense of ethics and personal integrity.
