Key Account Manager FTC

Join this vigorous and fast-growing company as a Key Account Manager, driving sales and managing brand relationships across grocery, wholesale, and foodservice channels. You’ll develop customer strategies, ensure promotions and activations run smoothly, and work closely with the sales team to maximize in-store performance.  This is a 6month FTC role that will give complete exposure to a success distribution business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales performance and implement customer commercial strategies, including pricing, promotions, and term agreements, while acting as the main point of contact for brand queries.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and brand partners, conducting regular meetings, presenting strategies, securing listings, reviewing planograms, and tracking activations.

  • Provide real-time updates and support reporting on distribution, execution, competitor insights, and field team activities.

  • Forecast promotional volumes, monitor listings and service levels, track aged stock, and implement plans to optimise inventory.

  • Support P&L management to achieve revenue and margin targets, approve recharge invoices, and assist with finance queries.

Key Personal Requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.

  • Proven key account management experience within FMCG, Food & Home, or retail environments, across multiple channels (grocery, discounters, wholesalers, foodservice).

  • Strong commercial capability, including sales, negotiation, forecasting, P&L ownership, and performance reporting.

  • Solid understanding of category management, planograms, in-store activations, and competitor analysis, supported by strong data and insight skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, brand partners, and internal stakeholders, while leading and coordinating teams.

  • Highly organised with excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills; proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and reporting systems.

  • Flexible approach, with willingness to travel for meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
