Key Account Manager

Join a long established, high-energy company as a Key Account Manager. You’ll lead key customer relationships, grow sales, and manage well-known brands across grocery & wholesale. Working closely with the sales team, you’ll build smart customer plans, run strong promotions, and make sure company brands win in store. Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow key customer accounts by delivering strong sales performance, managing budgets, and executing effective commercial plans.
  • Develop and implement customer strategies covering pricing, promotions, term agreements, listings, planograms, and in-store activations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and brand partners, building trusted relationships and resolving queries efficiently.
  • Build and deliver annual business plans with brand partners, aligned to sales targets, investment strategies, and agreed reporting.
  • Manage regular customer and partner meetings (face-to-face and virtual), presenting performance updates, strategies, and commercial opportunities.
  • Support field sales teams with timely updates on brands, distribution, execution standards, and competitor insights.
  • Forecast promotional volumes, monitor service levels, and manage stock performance, including actions to address aged or slow-moving inventory.
  • Support financial performance through P&L awareness, margin delivery, and approval of recharge invoices where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in key account management within FMCG, retail, or home brands, across multiple channels (grocery, discounters, wholesalers).
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and commercial strategy skills, with experience in forecasting, P&L management, and sales reporting.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and brand partners, and to lead or coordinate teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of category management, planograms, in-store activations, and competitor analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and reporting systems, with excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Flexible and willing to travel for meetings, trade shows, and events.
