Our client is seeking a high calibre Senior Sales professional to lead and manage all aspects of sales and marketing functions, servicing of accounts, cost management and profitability. The ultimate objective of this key role within the sales department will be to ensure the effective implementation of both long- and short-term sales drivers across the Impulse portfolio via the sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a sales team of high achievers by developing the key sales competencies within the team including selling, negotiation and persuasiveness skills.
  • Recruiting, training, coaching and where necessary managing under performance.
  • Manage, expand and develop the customer call file across the region to ensure full capacity is being utilised.
  • The number one sales priority will be to ensure that you have the right product range on the right shelf at the right price for our clients key brands across your region.
  • Enhance brand development through identifying and implementing short and long-term sales drivers.
  • Develop strong business relationships with key groups and customers.
  • Manage cost in line with budget guidelines.
  • Develop a succession plan for yourself and individuals within your team.
  • Managing stock availability through our supply chain.
  • Negotiating bulk buy trade deals with Wholesale contacts.
  • Managing and negotiating LTA’s, Rebates, Cost pricing and Margin
  • Deliver of Net Margin and P&L responsibility for your area.

Experience:

  • Be results orientated with strong leadership experience and the ability to understand the financial results of the business.
  • Strong experience within retail/wholesale sales.
  • Ensure targets are aligned with company objective.
  • Experience within selling containers is desirable. 
  • Ensure your team’s distribution targets, visibility targets and display targets are achieved. 
  • Preparing and conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews
