Our client is a leading engineering company with a global customer base, world class technology and expertise in research and development. An exciting opportunity has been created for a Global Business Development Manager to join their team, focusing on the Pharmaceutical industry. This key sales position will have responsibility for developing business internationally.The successful candidate will be based in Ireland but will be expected to travel where required.

As a BDM, you will be responsible for driving sales of high quality products.You will be tasked with developing an existing portfolio of customers and brands in addition to driving new business opportunities.This will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with international clients and the company’s sales team. 

Key attributes of this role:

  • Focus on achieving New business sales targets, maintaining existing business and growing the business by selecting key new clients and developing relations with all levels of their organisation.
  • Ability to foster excellent relations with all customers and key decision makers as well as with key partners in the industry.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitors and market trends.
  • Monitor customer service standards in line with company expectations.
  • Be available to travel outside of Ireland. 
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports as required against set targets to the sales manager.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team working skills.
  • Previous experience of competitive sales.  
  • Ability to prioritize workload & work to deadlines.
  • A high degree of organizational skills and an ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Engineering background may be an advantage.
  • Full Clean driving license.
  • ‘Can do’ attitude!

Base in Leinster with travel internationally

Salary: 70-80K + bonus (OTE 120-140K) + comprehensive range of company benefits
