Field Sales Manager

We have teamed with a fast-growing renewable energy business that uses smart technology to make sustainable living simple and accessible. Part of a wider group driving the future of solar through innovation and customer-focused solutions, they are now looking for a Field Sales Manager to build and lead a high-performing solar sales team.
This is an opportunity to shape a new sales function from the ground up - developing people, processes, and performance while driving growth across residential and small business markets in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing regional field sales team, setting the tone for culture, performance, and customer focus.
  • Recruit, onboard, and coach field representatives, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets and development of individual potential.
  • Develop and execute territory plans, sales strategies, and performance metrics to drive residential and small business growth.
  • Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and implement improvements to optimise efficiency and results.
  • Collaborate with marketing and inside sales to manage leads, maximise conversion, and represent the company at events and local initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of sales experience, with proven success in high-paced field sales environments
  • At least 1–2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team, creating accountability and a results-driven culture.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and motivational skills, with a track record of developing individuals to achieve their potential.
  • Data-driven mindset, comfortable using CRM systems, sales analytics, and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive growth.
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally; entrepreneurial attitude and adaptability in fast-scaling environments.
