Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the dynamic world of food marketing? We’ve partnered with a leading food manufacturer who are looking for a driven and creative Channel Development Manager to be a key player on their marketing team. Reporting directly to the UK Head of Channel Development but working day to day with the Irish Country Manager, you'll have the exciting responsibility of implementing the company’s strategic vision in both Ireland and North America. This role is not just about managing channels; it's about shaping the future of the brand.

Your Role in a Nutshell:
As the Channel Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales and profitability growth in the retail and foodservice sectors. Your mission will include identifying exciting opportunities, spearheading new product development, and effectively managing projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Dive deep into market dynamics, identifying growth opportunities and consumer insights in Ireland and North America.
  • Collaborate with national account managers, category managers, and technical account managers to develop customer category plans that align with our strategy.
  • Use market data to support product proposals and find new avenues for product development.
  • Lead the launch of the company’s products and services where relevant.
  • Manage multiple NPD projects from concept to launch, working cross-functionally with various teams.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers, marketing professionals, and product developers.
  • Conduct competitor reviews, product benchmarking, and gap analysis to keep us ahead of the game.
  • Your day-to-day will include attending customer meetings and working closely with design and communication agencies to develop impactful campaigns.

Your Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven experience in managing EPD/NPD projects and building strong customer relationships.
  • A blend of creativity and analytical thinking.
  • A knack for numbers and market data analysis.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of the UK grocery market.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • Passion for food and an adventurous palate.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a dynamic team.
  • Fluent in French (desired but not essential).
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint.
