As you step into the role of Category Manager, you are entrusted with driving the performance of Health and Beauty categories in the Irish market. This isn’t just a job; it’s your chance to take ownership and make a real impact. Your days are filled with a variety of tasks—from curating innovative product ranges to analysing market trends and planning strategic projects.
Your Journey Includes:
- Category Performance: Every morning, you dive into market data, understanding the nuances of the Health and Beauty categories.
- Supplier Relationships: You build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers
- Range Development: Working closely with the product development team, you help craft innovative and profitable product ranges that meet customer demand
- Trade Planning: Leading the promotional trade planning process, you work with marketing teams to create compelling campaigns that resonate with their customers.
- Digital Engagement: Partnering with the digital team, you tailor online purchasing experiences to enhance trial, conversion, and repeat purchases. You explore new digital opportunities, such as app launches and optimised services, to elevate our customer experience.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regular performance reports are your compass, guiding your decisions. You provide in-depth analysis to manage stock levels efficiently.
- Strategic Projects: Your voice is essential in strategic initiatives, where you identify opportunities and address challenges, ensuring that the Irish market is always at the forefront of innovation.

The Ideal You:
You have a background in retail buying or category management, preferably in Health & Beauty. Your negotiation and influencing skills are second to none, and your communication abilities ensure that you manage your time effectively. You have a strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivering results. Working independently and building cross-functional relationships comes naturally to you. Your analytical skills enable you to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
