Our client is enjoying continued exciting growth and is therefore looking for a Account Manager to handle their Amazon account in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop existing Amazon account by extending product listings and agreeing activities with Amazon that will deliver growth in line with targets and objectives. 
  • Work in close collaboration with UK Commercial and Marketing Team to align commercial, channel and marketing strategies. 
  • Accountable for achieving Sales and Gross Margin targets for the Amazon UK account closely managing pricing, negotiating terms, product mix and promotions. Manage Key metrics to track progress weekly and adjust the plan as needed to deliver results. Regular reporting on performance against plan, to include Amazon UK performance management. Use web analytics to monitor key site performance indicators, and take appropriate actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and implement marketing activities including trade marketing and shopper activity, shopper targeting, partnerships & sponsorships, launching new pack formats and launching new innovations. 
  • Manage an online shopper and promotional budget for optimal ROI and ensure internal/external alignment, while growing and maintaining relationships. Reconcile and update promotional plans regularly, to remain within budget.
  • Develop and execute future Amazon UK business plans to deliver sales results, including maximized volume potential, increased merchandising effectiveness, growth of product group(s), and brand share; responsibility for accurate forecasting of monthly sales. 
  • Feedback trends and opportunities to Management from customer meetings, sales events and key market visits as well as assess market and competitor situation on a regular basis.
  • Leverage business analytics to influence customer and company decision making at top-to-top levels; utilizing internal/customer business systems to manage and maximize plans.
  • Create impactful, insights-based presentations to translate sales objectives into customer strategy and business plans around distribution, merchandising, promotion, and planogram placement. 

Experience and Qualifications:  

Candidates will have a proven background account management (with an e-commerce retailer would be preferable), sales and marketing with the ability to be flexible in a fast paced environment which requires a hands-on approach.

  • Commercial, analytical and numerate, with a strong focus on a trading website and a keen interest in new developments within the online industry.
  • Candidates will also have UK specific experience and be familiar with the UK retail landscape.
  • It is essential you have managed sizable business with one or a combination of online retailers including; Amazon, Ocado, Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Morrisons, and/or other leading retail groups.
  • Degree Educated.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in an online or e-Commerce CPG/FMCG retailer environment.
  • Demonstrable exposure to Digital/Online sales and marketing, email marketing and programmatic advertising.
  • Excellent communication, time management, organization and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills coupled with an innate ability to build relationships at all levels.

Flexibility to travel (role has expected travel of c.40%).

Salary: €50,000 – €60,000
