One of the country’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of high quality, cost effective and specialist chemical formulations to industry is seeking a driven and customer focused Business Development Manager to develop market opportunities and service an existing customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for business development of a broad range of speciality chemicals, food ingredients, process aids and CIP detergents to the following industries: Food, Dairying, Brewing, Distilling, Beverage, Meat Processing, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laundry, Water Treatment.
• Manage existing accounts and identify new opportunities and markets through calling on prospective clients. 
• Manage the full sales cycle.
• Delivery of technical service on product application including preparation and delivery of presentations and solution proposals.

Experience:

• Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in the relevant industries of food, dairying, brewing, distilling, etc.
• Strong customer focused approach to sales.
• Work on own initiative and under pressure.
• Good negotiator as well as having excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent IT and report writing skills.
• Determined, ambitious, energetic and enthusiastic.
• Good knowledge of chemistry or experience working in industries which use chemicals for cleaning.
• Third level qualification in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Agricultural Science or related discipline is desirable, but not essential.
