We are working with a well-known and respected medical company which is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales of a new and innovative pharmacy automation system. This newly created position will provide a great career opportunity for an ambitious person to spearhead sales of this new system to an underdeveloped market in Ireland.  The role calls for someone with a solid understanding of hospital supply chain and medicines management processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate leads while managing an existing network of customers in the Irish market.
  • Map out existing hospitals to understand existing supply chain and medicines management processes.
  • Meet and present to hospital staff at all levels including Pharmacy nursing, department heads and directors.
  • Analysing data and scenarios to demonstrate potential benefits and saving.
  • Helping to design and scope solutions for clients.
  • Preparation of complex sales proposals.
  • Tender response.
  • Attending conferences and exhibitions.
  • Achieve a sales target.
