Construction industry focused Manufacturing Construction Products or Construction Services. All applicants must have strong UK Construction market knowledge and experience.

About the Role:

  • Delivering KPIs/targets that contribute to the success and sales growth of Irish companies in the UK construction sector.
  • Leading the development and execution of marketing and promotion activities in key subsectors within the built environment, aimed at facilitating export opportunities for Irish companies.
  • Building strong relationships with Irish companies in the portfolio, working collaboratively to devise actionable plans that accelerate their export growth at both individual and group/cluster levels.
  • Establishing and managing an extensive network of decision-makers and market experts across various functions within relevant channels (e.g., building merchants, distributors, specifiers, contractors), leveraging this network to facilitate introductions and expedite the growth of Irish companies in the UK.
  • Generating fresh ideas and exerting influence on the strategic direction of Irish companies, as well as actively participating in sector development efforts.
  • Proactively identifying emerging market trends, disruptive risks, and opportunities, and sharing these insights with the Irish client base and sector colleagues. Developing, adapting, and executing a comprehensive sector strategy tailored for the UK market.
  • Mentoring and developing colleagues as necessary to foster a knowledgeable and capable team.

About You:

  • Essential: Significant recent and relevant experience in business development, sales, or advisory roles in the UK.
  • Essential: Direct experience working in and a deep understanding of the construction supply chain OR experience working for another trade body
  • Proven track record of achieving results and the ability to proactively identify new sales and growth opportunities for Irish companies.
  • Strong consulting skills with a demonstrated ability to assess and challenge market plans.
  • Excellent networking skills to establish and nurture internal and external networks crucial for facilitating export opportunities.
  • Self-starter mindset to develop and execute comprehensive sector plans.
  • Experience in working with and supporting both new and established businesses.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in using Salesforce or other CRM systems, along with an understanding of business processes such as Lead Management and Account Management.
  • Familiarity with online and traditional marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a persuasive ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
