We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Associate Director to support the strategic growth agenda of high-growth sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the growth of our client, supporting major account and sector heads in achieving growth ambitions. Central to the role will be the need to drive streamlined and effective account management practices, consistent sales and go-to-market processes, the conversion of must-win opportunities, pipeline management, revenue and reporting mechanisms.

Key pillars of this role will include Relationship Management, Account Management, Account-Based Marketing, Opportunity Management, Sales Management, Revenue/Pipeline Management and Reporting.

This role sits within the central Markets and Business Development team of our client, with a dual line of reporting into the Head of Business Development and Sector Head.

The role is not intended to be client/market-facing; it is positioned as a pivotal role in supporting the growth of the business by supporting the work of Sector Heads and Sector Leadership Teams.

About You

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ experience gained in industry or professional services, working in a senior Business Development or Commercial role.
  • Experience in driving growth in large accounts.
  • Strong commercial acumen, growth orientation and sales focus.
  • Comfortable using pipeline and CRM systems for revenue tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent relationship development and networking ability, working both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to positively drive change and influence the decision-making process.
  • Excellent organisational skills and project management ability.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.

About You Role

  • Support the Head of Sector and their Sector Leadership Team in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies across key accounts and sectors.
  • Drive best-practice Account Management for priority accounts.
  • Assist in the identification of major growth opportunities and the development of appropriate strategies to target them.
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling across key accounts, mapping client issues to our client's solutions and bringing a unified approach to clients.
  • Account-Based Marketing.
  • Relationship mapping and CRM management.
  • Support the identification and conversion of must-win opportunities, using best-practice sales management to increase win probability.
  • Drive best-practice pipeline management, ensuring effective utilisation of pipeline and monthly dashboards to track revenue performance, win/loss analysis and related metrics.
  • Track and report on account and sector performance on a regular basis, producing pipeline and revenue dashboards for Markets and Sector Leadership.
  • Execute focused actions on cross-sector themes such as Alliances, ESG, Legal Services, AI and other strategic growth areas.
  • Support strategic inputs into significant pursuits, ensuring the value proposition is clearly articulated.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the sector ecosystem within our client and ensure alignment with the wider business strategy, as well as relevant regional sector strategies.
  • Build strong relationships throughout the organisation, locally and globally, to leverage joint go-to-market proposals and initiatives.
  • Build a network of strong working relationships across the sector community, particularly with regional sector leadership teams and sector executives.

Location: Dublin, hybrid working model – 3 days in office per week.
