This position is located in Germany.Location is home office based / Client facing.Close to major transport routes.

About the Role:

  • Commercial development of the brands in the German On Trade and Off Trade market. Working closely alongside a leading GERMAN Distributor as regards the sales, marketing, business and brand development the brands in the territory. 
  • Key aspect of the role is on the ground sales within the market – meeting with wholesalers, calling on accounts from store/on trade level to develop sales, face to face brand development & education in the trade etc. 
  • While the administrative aspect of the role is remote, the candidate is expected to be willing to travel the market to perform sales and marketing functions. 
  • As the market grows there will be the opportunity to build out and manage a team of Brand Ambassadors to further develop the business in Germany. 
  • Drive sales and win new business opportunities for the group. Source and manage distributor/wholesale/retail/on trade relationships. Identifying potential partners & negotiating new partnership deals with targeted wholesalers, retailers, on premise etc. 
  • Develop influential “on trade” & ‘Off-trade’ customer relationships. 
  • Manage sales and promotional activity on relevant e-comm platforms
  • Manage the sales function of the brands in Germany, ensuring efficacy of route to market for the company’s products. 
  • Work together with Brand Manager and International Sales manager to grow the brands exposure in the market. 
  • Executing the sales strategy and achieving sales targets within the market. 
  • Work together with market based PR agency on brand activations and communications. 
  • Organising and leading in market sales activities including trade shows, in market promotions, on/off trade activations, tastings, product training etc. 
  • Plan, strategize and initiate market opportunities to maximise sales in the market.
  • Create a solid pipeline of distribution across all channels of the market, including e-commerce. 
  • Be the group’s key person in-market: communicating & suggesting on market trends and brand developments. 

About You:

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in the German Drinks industry
  • Knowledge and in depth understanding of Spirit sales and industry network in the German market across all sales channels, from wholesaler/distributor the on/off trade accounts. 
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, driven person who is looking to take the lead on the German market activity and have a major influence on the market strategy for 2 fast growing international spirits brands. 
  • Excited by the challenge of launching and growing new brands in this key strategic market for the group.
