Branch Manager

We are working with a Building Wholesalers who is a trusted supplier of high-quality construction materials, serving Dublin and surrounding areas. Our client’s branch in South Dublin is now seeking to recruit a Branch Manager - Reporting to the Regional Director East, the Branch Manager is a self-motivated and results-driven leader responsible for managing a growing business in the Dublin area. This role involves overseeing daily operations, developing and executing strategies for profitable growth, and fostering a culture that builds lasting relationships and sustainable success.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations: Oversee the branch’s day-to-day business activities and lead the team to ensure that clear targets and objectives are set and consistently met.
  • Customer Management: Maintain and nurture an existing portfolio of customers while actively pursuing new opportunities to increase market share.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate and manage staff resources in response to changing business needs.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new avenues for growth, ensuring the business remains competitive in the market.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both customers and suppliers.
  • Health & Safety: Uphold high standards of health and safety by enforcing relevant policies, procedures, and rules.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in team management, with proven strong leadership skills.
  • Robust sales background, ideally within the building materials sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, lateral-thinking approach.
  • A solid work ethic and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Prioritisation of workload and effective time management.
  • Strong team leadership and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques.
  • IT literacy with the ability to interpret and act on analytical data.
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to change.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication.
