Due to continued expansion in our clients sales team, they are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to add to their existing team to work with existing customers and to identify and develop new business within the construction industry in and around Dublin and surrounding Counties.
The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing existing clients, generating new client opportunities, introducing new products, demonstrating products, and attending trade shows.
About the Role:
- Expected to work to KPI’s to help achieve predetermined targets for all products.
- Managing your territory to ensure effective coverage of account base.
- Identifying opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
- Developing negotiating strategies by examining risks and anticipating customer’s needs.
- Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements within business operations.
- Updating your job knowledge by participating in internal and external educational opportunities.
- Aligning knowledge gained from the local and national market to support the company and its customers.
- Build a strong client database through effective self-generated leads.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of products and services.
About You
- Extensive B2B experience working in a business development role.
- Construction sector sales, preferably working with merchants and retailers.
- Ability to work on own initiative while being a strong team player.
- Microsoft proficient.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full driving licence essential.
