An Area Fresh Food manager is required for a retailer in the South East to oversee the deli, bakery, food to go and fresh depts. in their expanding network of convenience stores.
Their responsibilities will be:
- Through managing product range and quality in each store, develop and drive sales and margins across fresh food depts.
- Oversee waste control systems to ensure it is run at its optimum (waste v out of stock missed sales) in each store.
- Manage the marketing and pos material, of menus, offers and product range through the latest innovative ideas and concepts.
- Oversee and monitor (with store managers) all food safety compliance, controls and practices in each store.
- Train and recruit (with store managers) all fresh food staff.
- Assist each store manager in some daily hands on management duties.
Reporting to Area Operations Manager, Successful Candidate will be given autonomy to create a fulfilling and rewarding role for them, but must have:
- Min 3-5 Years Fresh food/deli management experience.
- Ability to identify and maximise sales opportunities across fresh food departments.
- Strong knowledge and qualifications of food safety and HACCP best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of marketing and understanding customers’ needs and expectations for the ‘wow’ instore experience.
- Self-starter with a hand on approach and passion for fresh food.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a knowledge and expectation of department margins.
- Excellent people skills and experience working with the public in a busy environment.
Salary: €30-€40k DOE and company vehicle.
