As a Business Development Manager reporting to the General Manager, you will need to be a skilled sales professional with a proven track record of success. You should possess sound business acumen and have knowledge in either the foodservice/hospitality or healthcare sectors, combined with a customer-centric approach to selling. Your responsibilities will include enhancing and strengthening the existing business within your territory while prioritizing the acquisition of new business and profitability.

About the Role:

  • Overall accountability for acquiring new business and ensuring profitability.
  • Developing and owning the strategy for enhancing the performance of existing business.
  • Taking a proactive role in identifying and pursuing new business prospects, while exploring and capturing all sales and revenue opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external sales and marketing departments, vendors, distributors, and customers.
  • Developing and implementing an account management plan to ensure that business relationships are maintained effectively.
  • Providing accurate, timely, and consistent reporting to the General Manager.
  • Collaborating effectively with other departments when onboarding new clients, ensuring that they are fully briefed on all relevant information.
  • Exceeding KPIs using all available support.

About You:

  • A proven track record of achieving results.
  • A good knowledge of Excel.
  • Proven experience in business development management.
  • Understanding of the procurement sector.
  • Sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively within a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • High levels of organizational skills, attention to detail, and a process-driven approach.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • A full, clean driving
